Tell me.
Tell me that you’ll love me.

Because I’ve got this saffron, heavy dream where you sing to me and golden notes pour from your lips and we are something close to envy.

But envy can’t even get close to us.

Tell me that you’ll keep your eyes
(that can coax amber into aging)
trained on me and kept right here where there’s something to see.

Promise me.

And don’t sell me some lies about how once you’ve seen one you’ve seen them all, because
I am not all and I never claimed to be.
And after all, what you see is what you get,
and I have seen exactly what you got from me and there are advantages to being

blind.

And they tell me
that the best things in life are free
so why did you come to me with such a heavy fee
on your head?

So go ahead and

Tell me that you love me.
Tell me.

And then ask me
why I don’t believe you.
sometimes love sucks. alot. sometimes poetry follows in it's own fashion.

this isn't about anyone in particular, but sometimes words have a way of becoming their own people.

that was alot less poetic than it sounded.
meant to be spoken word, probably should be experimental, put in romantic.

I came back to comment on this one, it speaks to me. Men mostly suck, not because they mean to, I think they're just ignorant.

"And then ask me
why I don't believe you."

I love the ending. Maybe next time you should write about all the reasons you don't believe him/her. Get out some real frustration and anger.
